Art in the Open 2012

Join in Europe's largest plein air painting event for outdoor artists who will be flocking to Wexford for the 5th annual Art in the Open painting festival.

Over a hundred artists, including several from Europe, UK and USA will travel to paint each day in a different location chosen from among the best scenic and historic sites the south-east has to offer from Huntington Castle to Hook Head. Meet the artists and watch art in the making or wet your brushes and make your mark alongside the experts.

There are workshops, demonstrations, a Quick Draw event on the street, and various art-themed fringe events and entertainments for all ages. See the finished works at a gala exhibition in Wexford on August bank holiday Monday with artists' awards adding up to €4000 and where, perhaps, you will pick out a little masterpiece.
