Visit Wexford has launched its 2026 ‘Find Your Summer’ campaign, inviting domestic and overseas visitors to experience Ireland’s sunny southeast as the county prepares for another strong tourism season.
The campaign will run throughout the summer season across Ireland and key overseas ferry-accessible markets, including the UK, Germany, France and Spain, positioning Wexford as one of Ireland’s leading holiday destinations. Visitors planning a trip to Wexford can also access exclusive ‘Find Your Summer’ offers from tourism providers across the county, alongside event listings, accommodation information, attractions and itineraries through visitwexford.ie.
Developed by Visit Wexford and supported by Wexford County Council the campaign celebrates the many ways visitors can experience summer across the county’s key destinations, including Wexford Town, Gorey, New Ross, Rosslare, Enniscorthy, the Hook Peninsula and Kilmore Quay.
At the heart of ‘Find Your Summer’ is the idea that summer means something different to everyone. Whether it’s surfing at one of Wexford’s iconic beaches, island hopping to the Saltee Islands, discovering hidden coastal villages or exploring local food, heritage and culture, the campaign encourages visitors to experience Wexford in their own way.
Wexford’s tourism sector continues to show strong momentum, with the county welcoming almost one million domestic visitors in 2024 and generating €211 million in tourism revenue, according to the latest Fáilte Ireland figures.
Speaking on the 2026 summer campaign, Robert Millar, Chair of Visit Wexford and Area Manager of the Talbot Collection Wexford, said: “Wexford has a way of staying with people – from long summer days on our beaches to the lasting memories created right across the county. That sense of welcome and connection continues to define us. This campaign captures that spirit well, showcasing the very best of our coastline, our towns and our experiences, and we look forward to welcoming both new and returning visitors this summer.”
The campaign highlights the range of experiences that make Wexford such a strong summer destination, with suggested ideas including:
- Blue Flag beaches of Ballinesker, Carne, Curracloe, Duncannon, Morriscastle and Rosslare Strand, alongside much-loved seaside spots, harbours and coastal villages across the county.
- Coastal adventures from kayaking to paddle boarding and surfing, to boat trips and island hopping.
- Walking and cycling trails through scenic coastal and countryside routes like The Norman Way and Hook Peninsula.
- Family days out at Wexford’s many visitor attractions, gardens and outdoor experiences.
- Food trails and experiences celebrating Wexford seafood, strawberries and local producers.
- Heritage, culture and history from castles and abbeys, to authentic and immersive experiences at Dunbrody Famine Ship and the Irish National Heritage Park.
- Boutique stays, glamping and seaside accommodation.
- Summer festivals including Live at the Breakwater, live music and events taking place across the county’s towns, villages, and coastal communities.
Cllr. Joe Sullivan, Cathaoirleach of Wexford County Council said: “Summer means something different to everyone, and that’s exactly what makes Wexford such a special destination. Whether visitors are looking for a relaxing coastal escape, adrenaline-inducing adventure or opportunities to experience Wexford’s food, heritage and culture, they’ll find it here across the county.
“Tourism is one of Wexford’s great strengths, and the €211 million generated by domestic visitors in 2024 is felt far beyond the visitor economy, supporting local businesses, sustaining jobs, animating our towns and villages, and helping communities right across the county to thrive.
“‘Find Your Summer’ is about encouraging visitors to slow down, explore more of Wexford and experience the places, people, and businesses that make the county so special.”
