Pond-dipping and Bug Discovery in Wexford Wildfowl Reserve

Join us each any time from 10 to midday on Tuesday mornings this Summer to look for land and water bugs and mini beasts in the Snipe Field, Wexford Wildfowl Reserve.

Using nets, trays, pooters and jars, we will see what little creatures live in our ponds and fields and see what a jungle it is for smaller animals.  We provide all equipment and identification charts.

Families with children of all ages welcome.

Park at the parking area next to Ardcavan beach -where the winding road widens out-  just before the start of the sea wall road that leads to the Wexford Wildfowl Reserve (NB; leave space for tractors and trailers to navigate the tight corner!) and follow the signs down the lane to the Snipe Field, stay for as long or as briefly as you like.

Do not attempt to drive down the lane as you may not get out again!

Wellingtons and sunscreen are equally recommended.

Weather dependant.

Free!  No booking required.
