Craobh Loch Garman, CCÉ is tipping the hat to our patron saint with a night of music, song, poetry, readings, dance and craic.
On offer is a top class evening of entertainment with enough twists and turns to keep everyone happy. The super-talented Fergal O'Hanlon (guitar, tenor banjo, mandolin) gives a preview of tunes from his forthcoming album; then there's the multi-instumentalist Davy Roche and the award-winning and much travelled musician and singer Amanda Kehoe; piper Éanna Harrington is joined by fiddler Alice Wickham and guitarist/singer James McIntyre; the talented youngsters of Skins & Strings demonstrate the depth of talent in these parts at a juvenile level; Niamh Page and her sean nós dancers will be rattling the floorboards; there are readings from poets Máire Ní Bhriain and Deirdre McGarry, songs by traditional singers Paddy Berry and Matt Murphy; and a short story by celebrated writer Peter Murphy.
Fear an Tí is Padraic Larkin. Note: the show starts at 8pm sharp. There is a short interval.
