Wexford Winterland Festival

Wexford Town

The Wexford Winterland Festival has something for the whole family this festive season and will ignite the magic of
Christmas for everyone, aged one to one hundred!

Located on Wexford Quay Santa’s North Pole Experience will captivate young and old this Christmas time. This magical experience is part of The Wexford Winterland Festival and is sure to transport your family from Wexford Quay to the wonder of the North Pole, with magic and fun around every snowy corner!

Stroll through the Magic Forest with snow covered Christmas trees glistening in the midnight moonlight and arrive at the Elves Village where children can post their letters in the post box, visit the bedroom of Dozy Elf, take a photograph at the North Pole and help the elves prepare the reindeers’ stables for the busy season ahead.
The Elves Workshop is usually top secret but this very special visit allows you to meet the Grand High Elf and help mend and make toys. Finally Patch the Elf will bring families, individually, to meet and receive a gift from the one and only – Santa Claus!

Santa’s North Pole Experience runs from Friday November 29th to Monday December 23rd.

Other favourite events will return this year including The Christmas Express where little ones will be enchanted by Christmas tales from Mrs. Claus. Hop aboard the Christmas Express at the Bullring, where your little ones will enjoy a

truly festive experience seeing the sights of Wexford on this magical train while listening to special Christmas tales with Mrs. Claus and her elves.

This beautifully ornate Christmas train will take in the magical lights and sounds of Wexford Town at Christmas.

The journey lasts about 15 minutes and will enthrall kids of all ages.

It’s time to get your skates on! The Wexford People Wexford on Ice returns this Christmas season to the Quay front on November 22nd and runs until January 5th. Winter wouldn’t be complete without enjoying ice skating at Wexford on Ice. This year we have lots of new features including new group offers, birthday party invites and a few surprises for skaters and non-skaters to enjoy.

The Festival will be launched with the spectacular Winterland Parade, brought to you by Wexford Retailers, trailing through the streets of Wexford that will end with the switching on of the town’s Christmas lights.  The Parade and the turning on of the Christmas Lights will take place in Wexford town centre on Saturday 23rd November.

Santa’s North Pole Experience, The Christmas Express and Wexford People Wexford on Ice can all be booked at www.wexfordwinterland.com, by calling 053-9199199 or at the Lantern Box Office at 1 North Main St.
