The Fairy Walk & Mogue’s Enchanted Walk

Discover the enchanted woodland creatures and Fairy folk at Wells House, two beautiful woodland walks full of magic and wonder. Children will be enthralled as they uncover hidden treasures within the spectacular landscape of magical plants and trees. Watch out for the wishing well, fairy doors and castles as well as the resident Gruffalo, bug hotels and Draco the Dragon! A great way to spend an afternoon in the outdoors.

Living Victorian House Tour

Experience a walk-through time in a Victorian great house through the eyes of Lady Frances and the past residents and workers of Wells. Please phone us on 053 9186737 to find out the most up to date house tour times or check our website. 

Victorian Terrace Gardens

Relax and take in the beautifully restored terrace gardens based on the original Daniel Robertson plans of the 1830s. Daniel Robertson was the famous architect responsible for the iconic Powerscourt House, Co. Wicklow and Johnstown Castle, Co. Wexford.

Adventure Playground

Swings, slides, seesaws and climbing frames – ideal for kids with lots of energy to burn. Take this opportunity to sit back and relax in the adjacent picnic area while watching the little ones having the most fun on the playground!

 

If it is lunch, coffee or a tasty treat your after, you will be able to find what your looking for in the onsite Brambles Café known for their handmade delicious food.

Animal Farm

Meet their resident animal friends at Wells House & Gardens’ including racoons, rabbits, pigmy goats and hens – they have something for everyone!

 

Meerkat Experience

As part of your visit to Wells House & Gardens why not book their “Meet the Meerkat” Experience? This experience offers you a chance to get up close to their cheeky family of Meerkats. It is a great activity for the whole family to take part in.  

The experience includes:  

  • Entry to the Meerkat enclosure and introduced to all 8 family members.  
  • You will give them some of their favourite tasty treats and play with them with their favourite toys.  
  • You will learn some fun facts and get the chance to ask any questions with the member of staff.  
  • You will also get the opportunity to get some photos before leaving the enclosure.  
  • There will be a health and safety talk before the start of the experience.

 

Exotic Animal Experience

Bring your family to get up close and meet our mischievous racoons on your next visit to Wells House and Gardens,  Bonnie and Rocket, then spend some time with Crush and Squirt our super cute Tortoises. During the Exotic animal encounter, you will learn about how the animals are looked after here in Wells, along with how to care for them!

You will spend 15 minutes with each species and then get a chance to take photos with the animals. You will also have the chance to ask any questions about the animals throughout your experience with a member of staff. When the experience is finished you will then get a fact file to bring home with you.
