Variety Concert in aid of Friary Roof Restoration Fund

Join us for a spectacular evening of music, song, storytelling and entertainment at the Talbot Hotel, Wexford, in aid of the Friary Roof Restoration Fund.

This special Variety Concert brings together a fantastic line-up of Wexford performers, including Jesse Sludds, winner of RTÉ’s The Late Late Show Opening Act 2026; Selskar Strings; The Ivy Sisters; Rowe Street Choir; Jimmy Kelly; Neil Foley; the Kavanagh Children; Mayor Vicky Barron; storyteller Mary O’Donoghue and Rossiter’s Band.

The evening will be hosted by South East Radio presenter Alan Corcoran.

The programme celebrates the extraordinary breadth of musical and artistic talent in Wexford, with performances spanning choral music, country, vintage harmony, contemporary string arrangements, storytelling and more. It promises to be a great night out while also helping to protect one of Wexford town’s most important historic landmarks.

The Franciscan presence in Wexford stretches back almost eight centuries, and the present Friary contains surviving elements of the earlier building, including ancient walls dating from before Cromwell’s time. The concert offers a chance to enjoy a fantastic night of local entertainment while helping to protect this important part of Wexford’s heritage for future generations.
