The Bay Garden
Camolin, County Wexford, Ireland
Surrounding an 18th century farmhouse, The Bay Garden, covering an area of two acres, consists of a number of garden ‘rooms’ each one linking beautifully but with distinctive themes. The main garden with its serpentine beds hides the White and Cottage garden and leads into the formal, sunken Rose Garden and then to the Hot Border and unique Funereal Border. A relaxing, cool pond garden graced with a Loggia for shade and shelter is situated to the side while Jardin Sheila, inspired by the exhuberance of French gardens leads on the Barn Garden where the natualistic beds of grasses and perennials blend in with the surrounding countryside. To complete the picture, there is a shady Woodland Garden which slopes to the Bog Garden – and finally the formal Vegetable Garden.
The Bay Garden is 75 minutes from Waterford City and only an hour from Kilkenny City.
