Pick your own strawberries at The Village at Wheelocks

The Village at Wheelock’s is one of the few fruit farms in Ireland where you can pick your own Strawberries. This practice is an activity which has died out over the years, so we are proud to keep the tradition alive. It is a fun experience for both children and grown-ups – and an added bonus of delicious treats to enjoy afterwards!

 

Booking is on our website and you can enjoy this experience during our harvests Season, running from June to October.

 

Once you are checked in you will receive an empty punnet. Your guide will give you some information on the growing process that happens on the farm and they also will show you the correct technique for picking the strawberry. Strawberries are a delicate fruit that can bruise easily, so you should always be mindful when handling them.
