One Voice Festival: Tales from the Quay

Ferrybank South, Wexford, Y35 X5HF, Ireland

Wexford Arts Centre in association with Paul Walsh productions presents this unique festival of  tales from the quay.  A selection of specially created monologues written and delivered by some of Wexford’s best-known artists. 

A mix of comedy, dark fairy-tale, exploration of relationships and a look at life in a small town by the sea. Supported by Wexford County Council Arts Office Small Festivals grant scheme.

A Method in Menapia by Paul Walsh performed by Imelda McDonagh

In this Grand Guinol piece dripping with dark humour an aging Guesthouse owner explores how far she would go for a million euros.

A rainy-day heartfelt piece about a broken relationship and a man losing his lifestyle.

Living Like a Fugitive by Carol Long performed by Shonagh Lyons.

A tense heart racing piece about the dangers of modern dating a woman finding her inner warrior.

Coming home by Heather Hadrill performed by Stephen Byrne.

A thoughtful and atmosphere play about unfulfilled love , leaving your hometown and racing back to reclaim both .

Revenge by Jack Matthews performed by Danielle Fortune .

A hilarious and life affirming play about life after bullying and refunding yourself after losing your confidence.

Dei Gratia by Eoghan Rua Finn performed by Adrienne Meyler.

A dark fantasia surrounding the suffocation of family life and religious fervour in small town Ireland. 

Wexford Town ( hello In There) written and performed by Phil Lyons.

The warts and all truth of an adopted son of Wexford exploring the places and people of a small town by the sea .
