Back by popular demand, our festive gala magically bringing together the worlds of opera, seasonal favourites and carols.
The always ‘captivating’ Claudia Boyle sings favourite arias by Gounod and Bizet, and Christmas classics, including Bach/Gounod’s Ave Maria, ‘Je veux vivre’ (Roméo et Juliette), ‘Comme autrefois’ (The Pearl Fishers), The Wexford Carol and O Holy Night.
Suitably snowy orchestral showpieces include Nigel Hess’s ringing Christmas Overture and Leroy Anderson’s exhilarating Sleigh Ride.
