Jardiners Cottage

Jardiners Cottage is a homely self-catering country cottage located just outside Bunclody, a small town with supermarkets, boutiques, coffee shops, bars, hairdressers and beauticians. Situated adjacent to the owners farm, Jardiners Cottage boasts stunnning views over the Blackstairs Mountains, all within close proximity to a variety of walking trails. Ideal for the ultimate adventure tourist, golf break or one simply looking to escape to County Wexford’s countryside away from the hustle and bustle of life, you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for in Jardiners Cottage.

Jardiners Cottage has two bedrooms; 1 twin and 1 double, along with a seperate sofa bed. To cater for their needs, the cottage also offers exercise and adventure tourists with a drying room and laundry room. Electric bikes are also available for hire with advanced booking. WiFi and a TV with inbuilt Chromecast also available at the cottage.

Just a short 10 -15 minute walk into the town, you’ll find Bunclody Golf Club which sprawls across 300 acres of mature parkland and serves up hearty dinners in the clubhouse. If it’s a delicious lunch you’re craving, Btwenty7 or Sugar and Spice are perfect options followed by a sweet treat afterwards, or a warm flat white with a cheesy toasty in dog-friendly Brother Coffee. If it’s fine dining you’re after, there is a bistro in Clonegal village called Sha Roe – it’s a popular one, so booking is essential. We also leave suggestions on the fridge for local takeaways we’d recommend.

Out for a pint or two? Bunclody has an array of lovely, welcoming pubs. Hit Redmonds on the Main Street for a good pint and if you’re up for some craic agus cheoil, make your way to Lennons where you might catch a weekend of traditional Irish music. The Riversedge is also a good shout for live weekend music, meanwhile Kehoe’s at the end of the town is always a good spot for meeting locals.

In terms of activities while you stay with us, we have left some information about the surrounding area in the shed outside and you can also explore things to see and do at VisitWexford.ie. We have an amazing golf course, we’re at the foothills of Mount Leinster for walking trails and there is a public swimming pool at the top of town which also has tennis courts to rent – there’s so much to do in close proximity. If you get inclement weather, remember the drying room outside should have your wet gear dry in no time. If very inclement, there are cinema’s and other indoor activities to do in County Wexford.
