Who will be crowned one of Ireland’s hottest new comedy talents??

The Gorey Yellow Belly Comedy Festival presents the Stand-Up & Coming Championship 2026, bringing together eight of Ireland’s most exciting emerging comedians for one huge night of laughs at the Loch Garman Arms.

Over two hours, eight up-and-coming acts will take to the stage and battle it out for the title of Stand-Up & Coming Champion 2026, giving audiences the chance to discover some of the names you could be hearing a lot more from in the years ahead.

Joining them on the night is acclaimed comedian Louisa Ní Éideáin. A bilingual writer and performer, Louisa has enjoyed sold-out runs at both the Dublin and Edinburgh Fringe festivals with her award-winning musical comedy show Dopa-Mean Girl and was named Best New Act at the Bray Comedy Festival 2026.

Keeping the whole thing moving is MC Adam Burke, one of Ireland’s most experienced and energetic comedy hosts. Best known to many as a host of Bingo Loco, Adam has performed on stages including the 3Arena, Vicar Street, Cork Opera House and the INEC, and at major festivals including Electric Picnic and the Paddy Power Comedy Festival.

Expect eight emerging acts, one champion and two hours of seriously good comedy.
