Duncannon’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
Duncannon Village Renewal Committee are organising Duncannon’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade on Tuesday the 17th of March at 11am.
Participants – schools, sports teams, local businesses and community groups – will meet at the Star of the Sea Church in the village and parade through the village, down the Main Street and on to the beach.
Last year’s parade was a great success with many participants, including the hip hop band Kneecap (much to the delight of participants and the crowds of audience) enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate and enjoy our National Day, showing pride in their sports teams, schools, community groups and show how well their business is integrated into our vibrant community.
If your group wants to take part or you want to volunteer to help out on the day by stewarding please get in touch via our Facebook page. We will need stewards to help ensure the parade is as safe and enjoyable as possible.
Duncannon Village Renewal Committee is a small group of volunteers who are dedicated to developing a strong sense of connection and involvement in our community. We are focusing our energy on events and projects that, together, help to make Duncannon a vibrant community that is a pleasure to live in, work in and visit.
Come along and take part in the parade or be part of the crowd to cheer the parade along! Looking forward to seeing you on the 17th of March!
