Celtic Roots at the National Opera House

Celtic Roots have proved to be most successful Irish show in the Southeast. Formed in 1998, the group of approximately 60 dancers, musicians, singers and storytellers have travelled all over the World showcasing the very best of Irish music, song and dance.

Celtic Roots was formed to promote Irish culture at home and abroad, and the group is a community based, not-for-profit organization, with all members and mentors giving their time on a voluntary basis. To date the group have travelled to Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, the UK, Brazil and Japan, while also promoting Irish culture at home to local audiences and tourists. 

The show which features World champion Irish dancers and All Ireland Fleadh winners in singing, music and dancing, is produced by Kay McKelvie & Sinéad Long. The group will be joined on the night by The Wexford Academy of Irish Dancing along with many local musicians and singers.
