Celebrating 250 Years of St. Mary’s Church Book Launch

The Book Launch will begin appropriately with a celebratory and uplifting service of Choral Evensong at 6.30 pm in St Marys, featuring the fine local choir, led by Dr Jeffrey Cox.

After the service, the launch will take place at 7 pm in the adjacent Sunday School. The book will be launched by local man Professor Kevin Whelan of the University of Notre Dame. The event will be chaired by the Rev. Canon Trevor Sargent, and it will also feature remarks by the author, Oliver Deacon, who comes from a family that has worshipped in this church over many generations. The evening will conclude with a reception where the congregation and guests can celebrate this lovely occasion.
