Curracloe Beach (Ballinesker)
Curracloe Beach is on the east coast of County Wexford, 5 miles north of Wexford Town and has been awarded the Blue Flag Beach 2018.
The Beach is a beautiful stretch of sand along the coastline extending from the Special Area of Conservation at the Raven Point to Ballyconniger Head, which is approximately 10 miles long making it the perfect destination for a bracing stroll.
The Beach has an easterly aspect overlooking Wexford Bay and the Irish Sea and is bordered on the west by a line of sand dunes.
You may recognise some of the views as Curracloe beach was famously used in the filming of the D-Day landings scenes of the 1997 film, Saving Private Ryan.
