Ballast Bank Bar and Grill at Talbot Hotel Wexford
Whitewell, Wexford, Y35 FP9P, Ireland
The Ballast Bank is a rather curious man-made island in Wexford Harbour opposite the Talbot Hotel Wexford. It was erected to provide a place for loading and unloading ballast, which was essential to stabilise ships sailing without cargo. Both the Talbot Hotel and the Ballast Bank were constructed in 1905 and so it seems fitting to name one of Wexford’s landmark bars after one of Wexford’s most famous landmarks.
The Ballast Bank Bar and Grill is the perfect venue for a pre-dinner drink or an enjoyable night out in good company. Based on an old bonded warehouse, the Ballast Bank Bar & Grill provides a relaxed, friendly atmosphere in which to savour your favourite tipple and enjoy the best in live entertainment.
An extensive Bar Food menu is available throughout the day from 12 noon to 9.30pm, with something to suit every palate and appetite. Our Popular Carvery lunch is served Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 2.30pm. It is the perfect place for dining in Wexford.
The Ballast Bar also offers live music from a selection of Wexford’s Top Musicians each Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 9.45pm onwards.
