The Misneach Orchestra

The Misneach Orchestra are a large-scale Irish traditional music orchestra bringing together over 50 musicians from across the country.

Led by composer/conductor Ciarán FitzGerald, the project focuses on newly written Irish traditional music presented through an orchestral lens — rooted in the tradition but very much pushing it forward.

They released their self-titled debut album earlier this year, recorded at Windmill Lane Studios, and launched it with a sold-out concert at the National Concert Hall in January. The album was just released on Spotify, which you can listen to here.

They have an exciting concert in early 2026:

Their Wexford gig is a unique, one-night only premiere of brand new arrangements of pieces by the renowned duo of Ryan Molloy & Fergal Scahill. They’re delighted to be forming part of the inaugural Wextrad weekend of music, which will be launched in the coming days, and will bring trad music back to Wexford every year after the amazing fleadhs held in the town!
