Once fully completed, the Greenway will span 24 km, connecting the Norman town of New Ross to the Viking city of Waterford. The route follows a former railway line along the scenic banks of the River Barrow, passing through the countryside of South Kilkenny. Future phases will include historic elements such as the Red Bridge and the old rail tunnel at Mount Elliot, ultimately linking to the renowned Waterford Greenway.
