Bat Talk and Walk in the Pump House Wexford Wildfowl Reserve

Celebrate International Bat Night (August 26th and 27th) and Heritage Week by learning about and looking for bats in Wexford Wildfowl Reserve.   Up to ten different types of bat have been recorded flying here.

First we host a presentation about these unique flying mammals in the Pump House at 8.30.  We then look for them leaving their roosts in the Pump House at sunset (9 pm) and walk along the boardwalk to with bat-detector equipment listening for and looking for these liitle flying insect hunters.  We will be out until 11.30 pm but any who wish can leave earlier at any time.

Bring torches and wear outdoor footwear and clothing.  Suitable for families with children.  Weather dependent.

No fee and no booking required.  Free parking in the Wexford Wildfowl Reserve car park.
