Irish Agricultural Museum 9th & 10th September

The Inspirational Gardening Show - It’s a really good Show!

Over the weekend of 9th & 10th September, the Seventh Annual Gardening Show takes place inside the Irish Agricultural Museum, in the historic grounds of Johnstown Castle Gardens. On Saturday 9th, the Museum is open for exhibitors from 9.30am-1.30pm. On Sunday10th, the Show is open to the public and for courtyard traders from 9.30am-5.00pm.

The Show combines the charm of a village fete with a highly prestigious location, and is a competition for keen gardeners from across Wexford and beyond. The Show features some of the most important aspects of gardening and is aimed at encouraging new gardeners to grow. New to the show for families this year is a novelty competition for the best-looking scarecrow, while children can also enter with their weird and wonderful plant-art forms.

The Show also caters for the experienced exhibitor with an Open Potato Championship and a top class competition for talented floral arrangers.
