This year's 4th July celebrations in New Ross areset to celebrate the town’s unique U.S. links in style.
Organisers of the Irish America Festival for 2017 have detailed the ‘first announcments’ for this year's festival with more exciting news yet to be announced. Ferstival-goers can celebrate the birth of the U.S. nation with three days filled with fun activities for all the family in New Ross from June 30th to July 2nd 2017.
The main stage will be in situ at the Town Park in New Ross for the weekend. Alongside the superb music programme (to be announced) A ‘Ross Food and Craft Fest’ will also be on offer daily from 11am to 6pm where locals and visitors can meander the Quayside and enjoy a taste of local produce and exclusive craft creations.
On Sunday 2nd July a wonderful ‘Picnic in the Park’ will be on offer from 2pm to 6pm. Families are invited to come along and enjoy games and entertainment and of course bring a picnic. Ireland's travelling marionette string puppet theatre, Moon & Sixpence, will perform live on Saturday 1st July with music and sound effects which draws plenty of audience participation, as much from adults as from children!
Activities and entertainment will be on offer across the town for the weekend including a Funfair Carnival at the Town Park.
