“Greenland White-fronted Geese - Don't call us, we’ll call you!”

The Greenland White-fronted Goose breeds in Western Greenland and passes through Iceland in autumn and spring on the way to and from their wintering grounds in Ireland and Scotland. Wexford’s North Slob holds 45% of the current world population of  the species and Alyn Walsh of the National Parks and Wildlife Service, who has monitored these geese for a number of years, will talk about the latest research work at Wexford Naturalists’ Field Club’s November lecture.  “Greenland White-fronted Geese - Don't call us, we’ll call you!” takes place at The Pumphouse at Wexford Wildfowl Reserve on Thursday 2nd November at 8pm. Non members of the Club are welcome to attend. Admission for non members is €5 which includes light refreshments after the lecture.
