John Bishop – Back at it

John Bishop is finding his comedy feet again.  It’s a landscape in which he has reached the top and achieved more than he ever thought was possible but rather than resting on his laurels he decided to go back to the small comedy clubs of New York to rediscover the thrill of trying to win over an audience who had no idea who he was .  It was a great idea until he told a joke, and nobody laughed… It had been decades since he had experienced that dry mouth sensation of waiting for a laugh that never came .

Back At It is John‘s first one man show since going back to the beginning and starting again and he is doing it in Wexford because he loved it when he was last here in 2019,  and we asked him.
