1798 New Ross Rebellion Re-enactment

Experience the atmosphere of the 1798 Rebellion on Mary St New Ross on Saturday 16th June as history comes to life to commemorate the 220th anniversary of the Rebellion of 1798.  Enjoy photo opportunities on the quay front beside The Dunbrody Famine Ship before gathering on Mary St from 1pm onwards as costumed re-enactors march into battle as they create the sights, sounds and smells of the battle of New Ross during the 1798 rebellion.

The battle re-enactment will be followed by a music performance at the Tholsel & Ms Yvonne Whitty of De Foite Archaeologists will also be displaying a number of artefacts unearthed during the construction of the Nunnery Lane pipeline from 12pm to 3pm
