Seal Rescue Ireland
Courtown Harbour, Co. Wexford
Come visit Seal Rescue Ireland for a unique and educational experience for all ages. The centre is the only facility in Ireland that rehabilitates seal pups and they monitor the entire coast. They rehabilitate 60-80 seals a year and have seal pups in care year round. They are open to the public from 10am to 5pm every day of the year (since the seals have to eat ever day!).
You will get an amazing opportunity to view these little cuties up close and learn about local marine life! They are a not-for-profit organization that does not have an admission fee but donations are suggested. They offer a behind the scenes program called "Wildlife Rescuer For A Day" where you can become part of the action (fee for this program and bookings required - call or email for more info).
The centre use to be located in Dingle but after a large storm the facility was destroyed. After this they relocated to Courtown and have been working through the large loss of their facility. Please show your support by going to visit the seals and learn about the Irish ecosystem!
