Remembering Lost Fishing Traditions with Andrew Doherty

Since the earliest settlers in Ireland, catching fish has been essential.  A common method of capture was trapping in stake weirs.  Meet Andrew Doherty, author of ‘Before the Tide went Out’, and learn about how these weirs were constructed and their importance to local fishing villages. Andrew will construct a model of these weirs and explain how they work.
